The trail’s name, “Höhenweg”, is well-deserved. It winds along mountain contours, offering incredible vistas of limestone cliffs and lush valleys. On one side, you’ll marvel at the dramatic rock faces of peaks like Schesaplana, Kirchlispitzen, and Drusenfluh, dotted with climbers tackling challenging routes. On the other side, wide and deep alpine views unfold, painting a perfect backdrop for each stage of the hike.
On the first day after a long climb hikers will be rewarded with amazing views on the summit of Jägglischhorn, offering panoramic views of the entire region, including the Prättigau Valley and surrounding alpine peaks. A real view over both Austria and Switzerland appears when hikers walk along the border of both countries along the Kirchlispitzen on the third day of the hike.
